Neuer Kunstverein Wien presents the work of three Vienna-based artists who are expanding the autonomous concept of sculpture by using painting, film, video, and digital source materials as equally valuable components of sculpture. As the definition of interdependence between carrier medium and art production dissolves, they reveal how something is made or shaped, which artistic decisions were made, and especially how an artist can separate the completed sculpted object from his or her own artistic authorship, with its traces of the biographic and emotive.
