Neuer Kunstverein Wien is showing the sculptural installation 'Eroberung des Nutzlosen' by Sonia Leimer. The exploration of spaces and materials that are culturally, socially, historically or personally significant forms the starting point of Sonia Leimer's artistic work. The thematic complexes of architecture, work and globalisation are at the centre of her interest. Sonia Leimer creates sculptures, videos and installations that move between real places and imaginary contexts. Sonia Leimer's works can also be seen in the sculpture show 'Here and Now', which opens at the same time. The performance 'Eroberung des Nutzlosen' takes place on the day of the opening of the two opening of the two projects.
