"The Short Hour" traces a sense of lived experience that leaks out of the containers we built to organize it. It seeks to articulate a dizziness that emanates from cycles of flow states and fatigue, a loss of time through phases of either hyperproductivity or total passivity and explores the pockets of fantasy that open up in that rhythm. Short hours compose brief days, whose weeks bustle through months to form years that feel like they pass in the split second of a dopamine rush. "The Short Hour" thinks alongside the real and imaginary structures through which an experience of being, feeling and perceiving life out of joint coagulates into its form.
